now that the water is drying and the dust has settled in new orleans , it's time to get the big easy back to normal . that means the best food , drinks and music anywhere on the planet . it may take a while , but it's time to rebuild america's favorite city . a few benefits are pulling in the much needed money to do just that . many are in the works , some are at the ready . the big one out west will be september 22nd at the wiltern theatre with tenacious d and friends , fiona apple , david cross , dave grohl , josh homme with jesse hughes , sarah silverman and special guests . smaller bits of love from earthlings? at pappy and harriets pioneertown palace october 1st . earthlings? will be donating all profits to rhoades d'ablo and family , a musician from new orleans who lost a lot and had to suffer a few days inside the superdome . also , earthlings? with the spores and arugula will be playing a benefit at the scene in glendale on october 29th . there will be a hi-desert benefit on thanksgiving ( look to your left for details ) . please send all your healing thoughts and anything you can spare to those in need ,

most of our friends were lucky enough to escape new orleans with their lives , but almost everyone there lost everything they had , their homes , places of business and jobs were destroyed . a few friends that stayed behind have not been heard from yet ... . our love and prayers continue to go out to all those affected by katrina and our plea for those who can help , will help .
