THE LATEST FROM THE RANCHO

A bright clear day. Fred would have been 49.
Ted, Nurse Linda and I had breakfast at the Country Kitchen, then went to hang out by the tree, bringing flowers and purple streamers. There was already a lovely assortment of balloons and bouquets, so Karen and Michael must have stopped by on their way to JHOP.
Last night, Ted, Hal and Sue were on Z107.7, singing Orange Sunshine and Love On for Fred's birthday. Tonight the Thrift Store All-Stars will be doing several of Fred's songs up at Pappy and Harriet's.
And I can't help but feel awe at the people and places Fred brought together, the impact one man made on so many lives. Definitely a birth to be celebrated...
